Now that you know what the evidence shows, How are staff held accountable? As a healthcare community we must hold one another accountable in order to achieve great outcomes. I find workplace environments tend to have a hard time confronting small to large issues. The minute small issues go by without being addressing it is the minute it will develop into a systemic issue on your unit. Employees must hold one another accountable from the small things to the big things. Managers must ensure this level of accountability exists at a granular level. Managers must understand the players on their team. Managers must create “Just Cultures” to expand on evidence based practice frameworks.
